i went to an award winning fine dining restaraunt in paihea a short while ago. that cost me a fuckin arm and a leg and the food was shit, total shit, so shit i sent every dish back and in the end left the entire meal apart from a couple of test bites on the plate. that cost me nearly two hundred dolalrs. my lady and i went to the chinese fish and chip shop down the road and had the meanest munch for twenty dollars. cheap is not always bad, in fact sometimes cheap is as good. like all things of course it comes down to the consumer, the dude in the table next to me didnt mind the gnocchi wasnt salted, and that the lamb three ways was raw, burnt and chewy.

Same happened to me J Bob .... the restaurants along the waterfront there are all shit .. wouldn't last a week in Auckland .. Pity .. Bad look for a major tourist destination ...

When in Pihia next, try LaScala. Very good meals. Also the
La Scaletta Pizzeria next door is great too.
