    Default "What's Your Number?"

I watched this Anna Faris movie tonight. It's a very silly film, but the scene where a bunch of ladies compare the number of guys they had sex with, and slut-shame the ones who had more than 10, made me wonder - do women actually admit their sexual histories to each other, and if so do they talk their numbers down? Or is it not such a big deal in NZ? And if it was would 19 really be excessive?

I remember someone reckoned that women divide the number by 3 , and guys triple it ( or trippple it haha ) .

I don't go to many church groups , but I suspect there wouldn't be many NZ women under 25 , with a number under 10 , and quite a few into 3 digits ? Or is that just a Hamilton thing ?

Here's a durex survey suggesting Kiwi women have on average 20.4 partners. (0.4 might refer to a vertically challenged partner.) 20.4 seems a very high average.

In Hamilton they get the numbers from the clinic, since its just as accurate but better documented.

We are talking about a whole lifetime, doesn't seem that unlikely to me.

Ha! So if 20.4 is the average here then it shows just how conservative America still is, considering the seemingly very promiscuous character in the movie was determined not to go past 20!

Probably depends if you want to count attempts at a romantic entanglement, where repeated sexual trysts are the norm, vs the one-off drunken or hormone fuelled fuck and ditch type hookups, which many may be keen to forget.

I suspect our cultural influence would still lead some women to under-report the latter segment.

Also the former would typically involve a lot more sex than the latter, regardless of how many people anyone has rooted, other than for WGs, who would likely fall into more casual (work) roots than romantic roots over the course of a decade in the business.
